Como todo cierre de año fiscal en el mercado de los video juegos (léase de abril a marzo del siguiente año), se entregaran los premios de los desarrolladores de la industria en el marco de la Conferencia de Desarrolladores de Juegos, a realizarse en marzo.

Ya se hicieron públicas las nominaciones en las distintas categorías, destacando las 7 nominaciones de Uncharted 2, o las 5 de Flower; pero también siendo impactante la poca atención de COD: Modern Warfare 2.

Además se confirmó que Gabe Newell, máximo ejecutivo de Valve, recibirá el premio Pionero.
